Press bio

Ronique Grant

Ronique Grant is a Jamaican EdTech founder, educator, and author building robotics curriculum for Caribbean classrooms.

Likkle Coders Jamaica — her robotics-led social enterprise, launched in early 2026 — is currently rolling out in Jamaican primary schools, designed from the ground up for ECI through primary students and aligned with the NSC and NCE. The curriculum spans coding, AI, robotics and chess, and is the result of years translating frontier AI tools into shapes that fit a real Jamaican classroom.

She is the author of The Art of AI (2026), with Navigating AI in the Jamaican Classroom and The 30-Day AI Challenge workbook series forthcoming. She is also the founder of Big Sis, a private peer-support community for Jamaican women. She holds all three of Anthropic's AI Fluency Framework certifications — including the train-the-trainer credential — and is completing Harvard's CS50 AI with Python. Most recently, she spent nearly a year on Digicel Jamaica's Special Projects Team — a year that shapes how she builds for the classroom now.

Her path through Jamaican primary classrooms, nursing, design, and sales is the through-line for everything she builds. The work is the same in every chapter: meet someone where they are, then make the next step possible.

Topics I speak on

Eight ideas, sharp enough to book.

01

Robotics for Three-Year-Olds

What designing for ECI students changed about how I think about robotics curriculum — and why the youngest end of the room is the most underrated audience in EdTech.

02

Shipping Likkle Coders Into Schools

What it actually takes to put a robotics curriculum into a Jamaican primary classroom — the negotiation, the rollout, the day-one realities funders never see.

03

A Year Inside Production AI

A year inside production AI — and the curriculum decisions that came out of it. What that year taught me about teaching AI to children.

04

NSC and NCE Without Watering It Down

Aligning a real robotics product to Jamaican curriculum standards while keeping it actually fun for the children using it. The compromises, the wins, the redlines.

05

From Chalkboard to Command Line

Primary teacher → LPN → graphic designer → AI coach → EdTech founder. The career pivot nobody talks about, and what it teaches career changers in their thirties.

06

Patois Is Not a Bug

Building NLP for the language children actually speak — and why language identity is the most underrated lever in Caribbean education.

07

Building Big Sis

AI, privacy, and peer support for Caribbean women — what it takes to design a digital safe space where the design decisions actually protect the user.

08

What the AI Fluency Framework Gets Right

A train-the-trainer's view from inside Anthropic's framework — what it gets right about teaching AI, and what Caribbean teachers add on top.
